TextLense Ai
Effective July 22, 2026
This policy explains what TextLense Ai collects, how it's used, and what happens to your photos and documents when you scan, edit, merge, or animate them.
You can create or sign in to your TextLense Ai account using Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or an email address and password. Whichever method you choose, authentication is handled through our provider, Supabase.
We use this information only to identify your account and personalize the app.
TextLense Ai asks for camera and photo library access only when you use a feature that needs it — scanning a bill, picking an image to extract text from, choosing a PDF to edit or merge, or picking a photo to animate. We don't access your camera or photos in the background.
Your theme (light/dark/system) and language selection are stored only on your device and are never sent to us.
Text recognition (OCR), bill editing, and PDF editing/merging all run locally using on-device machine learning. The images and PDFs you work with are not uploaded to our servers for these features.
Image to Video is the one feature that leaves your device: the photo you select and any prompt you type are sent to a third-party AI inference service (Hugging Face and the infrastructure partner serving that model) to generate your video.
We rely on the following services to provide TextLense Ai's features:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Account authentication and session management, including email/password accounts. |
| Google Sign-In | Lets you sign in without creating a separate password. |
| Sign in with Apple | Lets you sign in with your Apple ID without creating a separate password. |
| Hugging Face Inference Providers | Processes the photo and prompt you submit to the Image to Video feature, only when you use it. |
| Google ML Kit | Performs on-device text recognition; no image data is sent to Google for this. |
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data on our behalf.
Scanned images, edited bills, PDFs, and generated videos are saved to your device's own storage (or shared elsewhere) only when you choose to save or share them. Your account information is retained by Supabase for as long as your account exists.
TextLense Ai is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted with a revised effective date.
